Hahaha.. more of pocoyo..! Actually its not Maya's.. she's only "borrowing" it for a while this morning. The has is for AuntieJ for her Lil Ethan.

See this sleepy early morning face.. She can't resist of not putting it on just to try out. She loves pocoyo too... SHe called it POYO..

A "Nyonya Jual Sayur" Hat

Hahahaha... I dunno wat to name this hat.. My hubby said "nyonya jual sayur" hat meaning a hat worn by an elderly Chinese lady who sells vegetables.
I'm supposed to make a hat for Maya, cos she must wear a hat whenever we go out. I guess she's used to it.. Tried to hunt for readymade hat.. but can't find any.. perhaps no other toddlers in KK wears a hat like Maya..

I dont have patterns on hats.. so i just imitate a picture of a hat from a magazine... It works alrite... BUT.. its tooo big for Maya.. It covers half her face..hehehe... I'll have to make another one that can fit her now.. I will keep this for next 6 months... she'll fit by then I hope.

My lil Pocoyo

I never intend to make this bomber hat.. but yesterday when I were at my bro's place, we talked about making "baju kurung" for his 2 girls. Out of nowhere.. the lil niece of mine asked me to make her a "pocoyo" hat..

It really tickles me when thinking about this weird hat she wants....

OK.. here goes with my itcy hands.. I made one from felt material, blue color with white inside.

I'm a bit lousy in measuring.. the hat turn out to be Maya's size. My niece Affriena is 6yrs old.. although she is quite skinny size.. but the hat I've made was far too small for her.. Ends up.. Maya wearing it...

I'll make another one for her tonite.. I can't dissapoint her..

Look who's knitting ??

I found it a bit funny to see my girl was caught holding my knittings. I was lucky she didn't pull the yarn out!. *PHEW*

But she was pretending she was doing it... she holds it quite still.. until I came back and saw 'em in her bare-hands!!! Oh NO! *I shouted*

But she seems to stay cool & stunned there for a while.. She knew I'll get angry with her..

But instead.. she put a smile on my face and quickly grab my hp to get the precious shot before she ruin my masterpiece..!

I tried to make a hat from the cheapest-yarn-in-town. Although the color was so sweet.. but the yarn is toooooo tiny to knit!..

This hat was suppose to be for 2yrs size.. But with this tiny yarn plus the tiny needle size 3mm, i guess this would only make for 3-6months size..

Well, nevermind. This is only trial.. just to check the gauge for tiny yarns like MINLON or SAKURA... Yes.. these yarns are cheap, but not that suitable for knitting.. (Penat lah.. banyak sangat stiches )

Check out the price in KK - RM 3.40 for Minlon yarn.. The yarn store I went informed me that the price will increase by 1st July 2008.

Oh my! Will that end my knitting hobby?
